The Romanian Institute for Adult Education (IREA) was established as a non-profit institution, as a pedagogic research institute in the field of adult and continuing education, aiming to provide scientific and methodological support for all adult education institutions in Romania and to establish the link between the academics and practitioners in adult learning area.

The project idea is the result of a previous transnational exchange during the development of a G2 project, in which partners have realized that they have similar needs regarding the maintenance of adult people on training courses, although final beneficiaries have peculiarities connected to each partner context.

GINCO aims to create a European wide network of adult education organisations actually running Grundtvig courses or willing to do so in the future.
The aim of the network is to share expertise, to create and share useful material and to enhance communication and cooperation in order to improve the quality of Grundtvig courses, to enlarge the scope of provision and to improve the visibility and success of the action and the courses.

CityM (Creative, Innovative and Transferable Methods in the Education and Training of Teachers and Training Staff) is a thematic monitoring project funded and directly supervised by the European Commission, DG Education and Culture, which aims to improve the visibility and exploitation of LLP project results that develop methods or methodologies for the training of teachers and training staff. CityM particularly targets creative and innovative methods that have a high potential for transferability.
